Purdue students can write mini-sagas for contest
(2008-09-23)
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN
(wbaa) -
Students at Purdue are getting creative with a mini-saga contest that is part of the school's Liberal Arts month. The idea comes from author Daniel Pink who defines a mini-saga as "a story that is told in exactly 50 words - not 49 or 51 - exactly 50."
Alumni Relations and Special Events Director Chris Sharp says a wide variety of students are participating.
Sharp says so far she has received about 70 entries.
The deadline to participate is this Thursday by 5 p.m. Three finalists will be chosen to read their stories October 28th and receive prizes. © Copyright 2009, wbaa
