A local candidate says he will help Indiana get new jobs

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN
(wbaa) -
House District 26 candidate Randy Truitt says he will bring jobs to Indiana. According to the U-S Bureau of Labor Statistics, Indiana lost 16,500 jobs in July. The August numbers will be released Friday September 19th.
The Republican says too many regulations and the annual renewal of the state's business tax credit are getting in the way of employing Hoosiers.
He was not specific about what companies he would like to welcome to the state, but says manufacturing and engineering jobs would be a good fit.
Truitt has received endorsements from the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Indiana Manufacturers Associations and the National Federal of Independent Business.
He is running against Democrat John Polles. © Copyright 2009, wbaa
