Lafayette moving forward with annexation LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - The city of Lafayette continues to move forward with plans to annex nearly 1,000 acres.

The City Council has given initial approval to the fiscal plan for adding the land in the area of County Road 350 South to its tax rolls.

Officials say the annexation will expand the tax base and allow the city to have a say in future development.

A final vote on the plan will be taken next month.
