LPD investigating train death LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - Lafayette Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a passenger train Tuesday night.

The name of the 27-year-old white male is not being released pending notification of family.

Police say the incident happened just after 10 p.m. in the area of North Ninth Street Road and Canal Road.

The investigation has been completed and turned over to the Tippecanoe County Coroner's office and Amtrak detectives.
