Employment outlook mostly positive for Lafayette area LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - The latest Manpower survey indicates Lafayette area employers expect to hire at an active pace between October and December.

Thirty-three-percent of the roughly 40 companies interviewed plan to hire more workers during that period, while just 3%expect to reduce their payrolls.

Some other communities in the area have less promising job prospects.

In Crawfordsville, 17% of companies surveyed plan to add to their payrolls in the fourth quarter, while 3% expect job cuts.

And in the Monticello and Rensselaer area, 23% expect to hire more employees from October to December, while 7% plan to reduce their payrolls. © Copyright 2009, wbaa
