Purdue Catalyst Award goes to police department
(2008-09-05)
(wbaa) - Purdue's new Catalyst Award and its $5,000 prize are going to the university's police department.

The award is for promoting diversity and an inclusive work environment.

Lieutenant Kevin Booker says the police department works hard to hire minority officers, because the campus community is so diverse.

Booker says officers will be able to attend more job fairs with the prize money.

The Purdue has the most diverse police department in Tippecanoe County.
