Tippecanoe Med Reserve Corps seeking funding

Tippecanoe County is applying for a grant to help fund its Medical Reserve Corps. The new unit is housed in the health department and will assist the public health community.
Volunteers will assist with major public health emergencies and in non-emergency situations, such as assisting with vaccination clinics.
County Grant Coordinator Laurie Wilson says the grant totals $5,000.
The national Medical Reserve Corps is sponsored by the U.S. surgeon general's office.
