Ivy Tech, Lafayette campus enrollment numbers rise LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - Enrollment at Ivy Tech's Lafayette campus is up nearly 17% compared to a year ago.

Executive Director of Communications Tom McCool says nearly 6,300 students are signed up to take classes, which began this week.

Statewide enrollment is 86,000, up 12% from last fall.

McCool says the Lafayette campus has more than 1,300 first-time students taking classes.

The campus population is just over 56% female and about 43% male.

He says enrollment is still open for the semester and the final numbers likely will increase. © Copyright 2009, wbaa
