WL School Corporation welcomes new school board members
(2008-08-27)
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN
(wbaa) -
The West Lafayette School Corportation board of trustees has filled its two vacant spots. David Grenat and Brad Marley were sworn in during a special board meeting Wednesday afternoon.
The positions were left open after two members unexpectedly resigned last month.
Superintendent Rocky Killion says the board interviewed five candidates, but chose Grenat and Marley because of their financial backgrounds.
Grenat works for a consulting firm that offers financial advice for K-12 and post-secondary education organizations.
Marley is the new president and CEO of Lafayette Community Bank and also serves on the city's board of works.
The two men will start immediately and serve out the remainder of the four year terms, which started in July. © Copyright 2009, wbaa
