Support grows Sunday alcohol sale LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - More than ten thousand Indiana residents have signed an online petition calling for the state to allow Sunday alcohol sales.

Beveragechoices.com was started by a statewide coalition that includes 23 retailers and three trade associations.

Hoosiers for Beverage Choices is encouraging legislators to repeal restrictions on cold beer sales and Sunday sales of alcoholic beverages in drug, grocery and convenience stores.

Indiana is one of only 15 states that completely prohibit the carry-out sale of alcoholic beverages on Sundays. © Copyright 2009, wbaa
