Filmmaker seeking Lafayette area vets, holocaust survivors
(2009-05-18)
(wbaa) - Veterans in the Lafayette area could be part of a documentary.

Filmmaker Larry Cappetto wants former service members to tell their stories for the long-running series "Lest They Be Forgotten."

This is his second trip to Lafayette and he also is seeking holocaust survivors for a new film about the liberation of the concentration camps.

Cappetto says each day in the United States, about 1,500 World War Two veterans die and his goal is to preserve their history.

Veterans interviews are set for May 27th and 28th at the Hippensteel Funeral Home on North 9th Street in Lafayette.

Veterans should call Cappetto if they want to be interviewed.

His contact information is here.
