WBAA: Purdue Football defeats Illinois (2009-10-24)

Purdue football improved its conference record to 2-2 Saturday afternoon.

The Boilermakers defeated Illinois 24-to-14 to start a two game winning streak.

The defense stepped up in the second half pressuring Illinois' quarterback.

The team remains bowl eligible with the victory.

Head Coach Danny Hope says the squad has worked through adversity this year.

The offense was led by a rushing attack that added up for more than 200 yards.

Purdue heads to Wisconsin next Saturday to battle the Badgers.
