Roswarski says he will not run for Buyer's seat LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - The mayor of Lafayette says he will not be running for the District Four Congressional seat being vacated by Steve Buyer.

Tony Roswarski says he has received calls from the state Democratic Party and numerous constituents asking if he would consider seeking the nomination.

But he says the timing is not right.

Roswarski says he still has two daughters at home, and right now the title of "father" is more important to him than that of "congressman."

He adds there are a lot of projects underway in Lafayette that he'd like to continue working on.

Roswarski says he has not ruled out a run for another political office in the future.

But he says he would be more likely to consider a position that would keep him in Indiana.
