Alternative Energy Company Gets Venture Capital Boost
Canton-based Danotek Motion Technologies is getting a $13.2 million venture capital infusion to help bring its products to market.
Danotek develops and manufactures technology that helps wind turbines generate power more efficiently. CEO Dan Gizaw says he is seeing growth in the state's renewable energy sector.
"It's not as much as I'd like, but it's definitely happening at a rate that potentially will be helpful in the near future," Gizaw said. "Our company could be one of the pioneers."
Gizaw says he expects his company will likely triple its workforce over the next two years.
