Purdue Grad on Hubble Mission

(wbaa) - A Purdue graduate will be part of the Space Shuttle team repairing the Hubble Telescope.

NASA has selected Drew Feustel as a mission specialist. The 2008 shuttle flight will be his first.

The Hubble servicing mission is an eleven day flight, requiring five separate space walks to accomplish all of the objectives.

Since joining NASA in 2000, Feustel has completed two years of training and various technical assignments.

He earned a bachelor's degree in Solid Earth Sciences and a master's degree in Geophysics from Purdue.
