Winter Heating Costs Could Be Lower
(2006-10-11)
(wbaa) - Vectren gas customers should see lower energy bills this winter.

The utility announced recent decreases in natural gas costs could lower heating bills by 15 to 20 percent.

Vectren estimates the average residential customer would have paid about $850 for November through March last winter during normal weather.

This year, that same customer would pay about $700, based on expected natural gas commodity costs.

Experts say heating bills vary, depending on size and age of a home, the number of gas appliances, thermostat setting and insulation.

Energy conservation tips are available at Vectren.com.
