Wabash National Reassures Investors LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - Investors of Wabash National are considering new information about the Lafayette manufacturer's fiscal health.

They met Thursday morning at the annual shareholders meeting to hear about how the tractor-trailer industry is facing less demand, which is hurting profits.

High operating costs hurt cash flows in 2008 and are expected to continue through 2009.

President and CEO Dick Giromini says the company will remain positive despite the tough times that lie ahead.


He says the company continues to implement parts of a strategic plan created about a year ago.

The corporation remains the leader in the industry in spite of its recent struggles.
