Wabash National purchasing WEST LAFAYETTE (wbaa) - A Lafayette truck-trailer manufacturer is launching a purchasing alliance with similar businesses. Wabash National announced the Transportation Equipment Purchasing Consortium as a way to save money. An executive says it will help all companies involved get the best price for raw materials, component parts and services. Wabash National reported a third quarter loss last week. C-E-O Dick Giromini (GEAR-uh-MEE-nee) says the fourth quarter isn't shaping up much better.
