United Way of Greater Lafayette sets fundraising goal LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - This year's fundraising goal for the United Way of Greater Lafayette is larger than it's ever been -- $5 million.

It is also the largest amount the organization has attempted to raise for its 23-partner agencies, including the YMCA and Girl Scouts.

This year's campaign chairman is Fairfield Manufacturing President Gary Lehman.

He says the group is excited to achieve the target and fulfill the needs of the area's non-profit agencies.

The campaign formally begins with the Week of Caring September 8th through the 12th.

The kick-off celebration is set for the 9th on the Pedestrian Bridge. © Copyright 2012, wbaa
