Youth Council promotes recycling LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - The Mayor's Youth Council of Lafayette is sponsoring the Recycle Now project.

The goal of the campaign is to increase recycling volume by two percent over a two-week period.

The program will be advertised through information sent with city water bills and hangers posted on people's doors.

Recycling will be measured, and the top 100 who participate will be rewarded with a yard sign.

Mayor Tony Roswarski says the youth council is well prepared to handle this and future projects.

He says increased recycling benefits Lafayette both environmentally and financially.
