Lafayette United Way re-focuses TIPPECANOE COUNTY, IN (wbaa) - The United Way of Greater Lafayette is re-focusing its mission.

Spokesperson Kate Walker says the group will focus more on causes of problems like money troubles, child abuse, and fewer children graduating from high school.

And she says that may mean prioritizing funding for the local programs.

But Walker says that doesn't necessarily mean there will be cuts in those other programs.

She says the Lafayette United Way also will maintain its current services for those in immediate need.
