Vectren expects heating bills to rise EVANSVILLE, IN (wbaa) - A Midwest energy company predicts heating bills will be at an all time high next winter.

Vectren is urging customers to begin preparing now.

Marketing and Conservation Vice President Doug Petitt says the cost of gas makes up around 80% of the total bill, so high gas prices will greatly affect heating bills.

The company will issue bill projections in the fall so that customers can know what to expect.
