(2008-05-20)
TIPPECANOE COUNTY, IN
(wbaa) -
The operations manager for Tippecanoe Emergency Ambulance Service says the county needs new ambulances.Allen Borck told Commissioners yesterday that four of the county's ambulances already have more than the recommended mileage.
Borck says with the opening of the two new hospitals on the south side of the county, the vehicles will be increasing the amount of miles they travel each year.
He would like to upgrade to a more durable model of ambulance.
Commissioners gave Borck permission to look into the cost of purchasing seven new ambulances.
