James Earl Jones to Speak at Purdue WEST LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - Actor James Earl Jones will speak at Purdue in October.

The event is part of Experience Liberal Arts, a month-long celebration highlighting programs in the university's College of Liberal Arts.

Dean John Contreni says Jones has a history with Purdue's theater program.

He says in 1967 Jones and his father, Robert Earl Jones, performed together in 'Of Mice and Men' at Purdue's Experimental Theatre as guest artists.

"An Evening with James Earl Jones" is set for October 2nd in Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse.

The event is free and open to the public, however, tickets will be required.

Additional event details and ticket information will be available in early fall.
