Imagination Station to Undergo Restructuring LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - The board of the Imagination Station in Lafayette is beginning to revamp the facility.

President Kathy Weedon says the science center needs updating after 15 years of serving the area's youth and families.

She says the new emphasis will be on science, technology, engineering and math, instead of its original focus of space technology.

Weedon says the work planned over the next nine to 12 months should lead to a new executive director. The position has been vacant for about a year.

The board is making a push to bring in more volunteers to help with the restructuring and to help operate the facility after it's finished. © Copyright 2012, wbaa
