Lafayette Child Abuse Case Under Investigation LAFAYETTE, IN (wbaa) - Lafayette Police are investigating a suspected case of child abuse and neglect.

Officers responded to a call from the Home Hospital Emergency Room Sunday night about injuries to a 22- month old girl.

Detectives say the child has a burn to the arm and facial bruising. She was transferred to Riley Hospital.

Police arrested the girl's father, 21-year old Kenneth Dwayne Roark, who faces preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent.

Child Protective Services removed two other children from the home of Roark and his wife.

Officers say the investigation will continue, pending results of the child's medical treatment. © Copyright 2012, wbaa
