Three Republicans Consider Run for House District 26
(2008-01-30)
(wbaa) - Several Republicans are still considering a run for the 26th District State Representative seat.

County Party Chairman Bob Hicks says those are West Lafayette School Board Member Roland Winger, former county chairman Mike Gibson, and West Lafayette Councilor Randy Truitt.

He expects an announcement from one or two of them in the coming weeks. No Democrat has announced yet.

Incumbent Democrat Joe Micon is not running for re- election.

Hicks says another interesting race is for the three At- Large County Council seats.

He says there may be eight Republicans running, including two incumbents.

The third At-Large Councilor is Tom Murtaugh, who is seeking a spot on the county commission.

All candidates have until noon February 22nd to file for the May Primary.
