Endocyte Receives Imaging Patent

A company in the Purdue Research Park has received a patent for technology that works with an anti-cancer drug. Endocyte says the patent has been granted for imaging agents that will help identify some cancer and other disease cells.
The Vitamin-Targeted Imaging Agents identify a characteristic associated with certain cancers and inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.
In a release, Endocyte Vice President of Research Christopher Leamon says the imaging agents are a very promising development area for the company.
Leamon is named as inventor of the patent.
Endocyte is also in clinical trials for treatment of some cancers revealed by its imaging technology.
