Vermont Yankee Experiences More Leaks and Beam Problems VERNON, VT (WAMC) - There have been more problems with the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant's cooling towers this week. Following the discovery of a leak Tuesday night, five cracked or broken support beams were later found in the plant's east cooling tower.
