Singles Outreach ALBANY, NY (WAMC) - Rich Guthrie and Joan Slingerland join Joe and Sarah to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Singles Outreach. Singles Outreach Support began in 1983 as a discussion group and support group for singles led by Gregg Millett. As more and more people joined these groups and additional activities were added to the calendar, a few early participants worked together with Gregg to steer the movement toward a formalized, not-for-profit organization. The new organization, Singles Outreach Services, Inc. was founded as a nonprofit corporation in 1985. © Copyright 2009, WAMC
