There's a new program aiming to make its mark in the world of STEM - science, technology, engineering and math. It's called MIND Alliance, and it's for high school and college level minority students with disabilities in STEM. MIND Alliance is a program being operated by two universities - one in New York, and the other in Louisiana.

PRESIDENT OBAMA LAUNCHES "EDUCATE TO INNOVATE"
CAMPAIGN FOR EXCELLENCE IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY,
ENGINEERING AND MATH (STEM) EDUCATION -

President Barack Obama is also solidly supporting national efforts to improve
science and math education.

The president recently launched his Educate to Innovate campaign, saying he
hopes the initiative will help attract more women and minorities to the sciences.

It's planned those corporate donors, encouraged by the Obama administration,
Will spend at least 260-million dollars over the next four years to help improve
student achievement in math and science through specially designed television
programs and video games.
