U.S. Democratic Senator Charles Schumer of New York endorsed U.S. House candidate Kirsten Gillibrand last night in a speech that blasted the Republican party. Gillibrand is challenging longtime Republican incumbent John Sweeney in a Congressional district that stretches from the Hudson Valley to the Adirondacks. More from WAMC's Julia Taylor.
