Kalamazoo school participates in "Day of Peace" (KALAMAZOO) (wmuk) - The lawn at Woods Lake Elementary School in Kalamazoo will get some special decorations Thursday morning. Students are taking part in the International Day of Peace by participating in a project called Pinwheels for Peace. They've created pinwheels of all shapes and sizes that convey a message of peace. The pinwheels are decorated with representations of peace on one side. On the other side the students describe how they feel about current world events.
