A-P-V, a subsidiary of the Invensis Group, provided engineering expertise and state of the art technology for the dairy beverage, brewery, food and personal healthcare industries.
On Tuesday, the company broke ground for an $8-million facility in Uniland's Crosspoint Business Park off North French Road.
A-P-V officials say several sites were considered before they decided to expand in Amherst.
"When you compared some of the other areas that we did consider, we came out with a clear view that the investment in Western New York would give us more value for our money," said Regional Director James McCabe.
