But the formal name of yesterday's program at Ohio University was The Bridges Out of Poverty Workshop.
The idea was to teach local professionals how to better relate to and work with children and families in poverty.
A 2008 U.S. Census report says one out of three Athens County residents live below the federal poverty line.
Participant Katie Cullins was happy to get the additional insight.
"I work with a lots of kids in The Plains area who are in poverty," she says. "I'm not necessarily from that situation, so being able to relate closer to what they deal with on a day-to-day basis makes it easier to work with them."
The workshop was put together by the Kids on Campus after school and summer program at OU.
