Officials are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the St. Lawrence Seaway this weekend. Siena College Department of History Lecturer Claire Puccia Parham has written an oral history about the workers who built the Seaway. On today's Community Corner, Parham talks with North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley about why the Seaway was built and her talks with surviving workers about the dangerous and difficult construction of the 265 mile long waterway.
