With Governor Jennifer Granholm at his side, Immelt said GE is prepared to move quickly to begin work on the project.
"We plan to start right away," Immelt said, "Its going to start at about 12 hundred jobs."
Granholm interupted Imelt chearing, "And the sky's the limit.!"
The state is making over 70 million dollars in tax credits available to GE to build in Michigan.
Governor Granholm says the GE tech center could eventually generate over 140 million dollars in tax revenues.
