Sharon Gillett has been appointed as the director of the Massachusetts Broadband Institute. The agency that was created by legislation last year to bring high speed internet service to every part of the state. Gillett is no stranger to the issue. Prior to her new appointment she served for two years as the commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Cable. WAMC's Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Gillett about the effort to bring broadband to all parts of Western Massachusetts....
