Schumer Lottery Sending 10 Locals to Inauguration

Senator held lottery for Inauguration tickets.

BUFFALO (wned) - Saying his statewide Inauguration lottery was tremendously successful, Senator Charles Schumer proclaimed his statewide Inauguartion Lottery a success. 150,000 entries were recieved from those wishing to gain access to President-elect Obama's inauguration.

"I wish we had more tickets," Schumer lamented. "The way the rules work, New York and Wyoming get the same amount of tickets, even though Wyoming is so far away they probaly won't use their full allotment of 350 tickets."

Schumer came to Buffalo to congratulate 10 Western New Yorkerss who entered the Lottery and "won" the tickets to the January 20th, 2009 celebration. Schumer's office selected 175 winners. © Copyright 2012, wned
