When lawmakers convene on Feb. 2, they will consider such measures such as mandating insurance coverage for autism, abolishing legislative term limits, requiring voter identification at the polls and allowing Oklahomans to purchase license plates with the phrase "In God We Trust."
Sen. Jay Paul Gumm filed Senate Bill 1 to require insurance plans renewed on or after Jan. 1, 2010, to cover autism. The measure failed last year.
Gumm also filed Senate Bill 2, which would allow Oklahomans to purchase license plates bearing the phrase "In God We Trust." That measure also failed last year.
