| One of the most iconic buildings in Troy, the 1873 Gasholder House located at the corner of 5th Avenue and Jefferson Street, is one of the few remaining structures of this type in the United States. Designed by noted engineer Frederick A. Sabbaton, the gasholder house was used to store illuminating gas for the Troy Gas Light Company.
