Forbes.com ranks Atlanta number one on its list of the nation's top cities for singles.
The website judged the nation's 40 biggest cities on seven factors, including nightlife, numbers of singles, and cultural opportunities.
We haven't decided editorially Oh, we just like Atlanta.' It's actually based on hard numbers, says David Ewalt, an editor with Forbes.com.
Ewalt says Atlanta has made the top 10 for seven of the eight years the website has published the rankings. But this is the first time Atlanta's been number one.
Atlanta made some small gains in a lot of different categories. One is the number of single people in the city went up just a couple of points, but it was enough to help he said.
Although Atlanta isn't number one in any one category, Ewalt says the city's overall score is enough to edge it past the number two San Francisco.
