(2008-01-18)
(WABE) - It's been nearly two years since civil rights icon Coretta Scott King passed away after battling ovarian cancer and the effects of a stroke.
As a testament to her life and legacy, renowned playwright Pearl Cleage has written a play entitled A Song for Coretta which opens officially this Monday the Martin Luther King Jr Holiday at 7 Stages Theatre.
WABE's Morning Edition host Steve Goss spoke with Cleage from her home in Atlanta.

A Song for Coretta written by Pearl Cleage and directed by Crystal Dickinson officially opens Monday, and runs through February 17th at Seven Stages Theatre in Little Five Points.
