Georgia Tech Readies For H1N1 Outbreak
But now there are there more than a hundred Georgia Tech students that are being reported with flu like symptoms.
Still, Tech spokesperson Matt Nagel says the institution is prepared to deal with any outbreak:
((we were expecting this and we planning on it for a while and most of the cases have been mild and we continue to monitor the CDC guidelines to plan for the future))
Nagle says the school's health center is properly staffed to handle the sick students.
And there are plans to separate those that are sick from spreading the virus:
(( we are working with our housing folks residences halls))
So far only students have been confirmed with the H1N1 virus and not faculty or staff members.
