Metro Atlanta Hiring "Reserved" in 1Q 2010
Just seven percent of metro Atlanta companies plan to hire from January through March.
That's offset by 9-percent of surveyed businesses planning to reduce payrolls here.
Beth Herman is the regional director for staffing company Manpower, which conducted the Employment Outlook Survey. She says even though the numbers are disheartening to job seekers, Atlantans are finding work:
"You have to be aggressive. You have to be proactive. You have to be a great networker. And you have to put all-in. It's a full-time job looking for a position, but there are jobs out there."
Herman says to get those positions, job seekers should tweak their resumes and target expanding fields like healthcare and education.
