Mayor's race too close to call ATLANTA, GA (WABE) - The runoff for Mayor of Atlanta between Mary Norwood and Kasim Reed is in a statistical dead heat. That's the common thread running through 3 polls including one released Monday.

WABE's Charles Edwards reports

The V-103/11 Alive poll found 49 percent of likely voters would cast ballots for Reed. That's 3 percent more than Norwood who got the most votes on Election Day. The new poll comes 3 days after Reed's own poll showed a 2 percent lead over Norwood.

REED: "This election has been misread. I've been underestimated the entire time. We're running a campaign in every single precinct in the city of Atlanta."

Meanwhile, Norwood's poll, which she's not releasing, shows she has the slight lead. Norwood is not surprised by Reed's steady climb.

NORWOOD: "Well you would assume that when you go from 6 people to 2 people there will be some consolidation. I think that our numbers have been very strong straight through."

While each poll varies, they all show leads within the margin of error. That means the runoff is too close to call. Both candidates agree.
