Atlanta Motor Speedway Offers 1 Dollar Tickets ATLANTA, GA (WABE) - More than 2-thousand specially priced tickets were available and it didn't take long---for the normally priced 85 dollar tickets---to disappear.
After all they were going for a buck as explained by Ed Clark "we opened the doors at 7:30 those were gone in about 45 minutes".

Clark is president and general manager of the track.
He says the special priced tickets are now gone.
The promotion according to Clark served two purposes, one to get fans excited now that the NASCAR season has started and also to give fans a break given the economic downturn.
Clark added,"we just want people to be able to come and see the events live and we know times are difficult so we're making it possible for them to come and do that."

The Kobalt Tools 5-hundred will take place at the Atlanta MotorSpeedway March 7th.
