Georgia Tech Loses in BCS Orange Bowl Game
ATLANTA, GA
(WABE) -
Georgia Tech fans gathered in unity Tuesday night as the YellowJackets took on the Iowa Hawkeyes in the FedEx Orange Bowl.
It wasn't the team's usual style of play Tech fans were used to seeing.
WABE's Rose Scott reports:
Throughout the night at the Wing Factory on Roswell Road, Georgia Tech Fan Cody Jenkins kept saying:
((they just cannot get the rushing offense going...the Hawkeyes defense is just picking their number))
But Jenkins was quite optimistic after the second halfTech was only losing by a touchdown.
Tech's defense kept them in the game as Yellowjackets scored a touchdown in the 4th quarter and was only down by 3.
But that would be all the scoring for Georgia Tech.
Iowa's defense which was dominant all night slammed shut any chance of Georgia Tech coming back by intercepting the ball and later scoring another TD.
Cody Jenkins says there's always next season:
((it's been a fantastic year. there's no way it hasn't been a good year, next year will be even stronger even stronger))
