Former Boxing Champ Vernon Forrest Shot and Killed ATLANTA, GA (WABE) - He wasn't supposed to win but in 2002 Vernon Forrest proved the experts wrong:

Forrest beat Sugar Shane Mosley; who at the time many believed was the best boxer in the world.
Nicknamed the Viper Forrest would beat Mosley for a second time to keep the title.
That was inside the ring former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield says Forrest used the experience of growing up in a tough environment to help others:

((It's a lot of things he didn't have Vernon helped a lot of people))

Help that came in the form of his work with Destiny's Child Inc...an organization that helps mentally challenged young adults.
Vernon Forrest was 38 years old.
