Health Care Reform Costs in Georgia: One Analyst's View

Last week, the state Dept. of Community Health estimated that starting in 2013 it would cost the state an extra $100 to 200 million a year to fund the health reform plan passed by the U.S. Senate and that those extra costs would hit $500 million a year by 2020. We continue our series of conversations about health reform, from different points of view with Timothy Sweeney, senior health care analyst with the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute. He argued, even if those cost figures are right, health care reform is still a good deal for Georgia.
